The Title, Veterans Council of Hillsborough County
    Implies that this organization assumes great responsibility in representing the needs of Hillsborough County's veterans. Indeed, it does that, and so much more. For over half a decade, the Veterans' Council of Hillsborough County, Inc. is still working hard to help unify veteran organizations that uphold the ideals, principles, and traditions of Military Service. The Vision to support veterans, active duty, reserve and other members of our armed forces and their families has never waivered since the organization was originally charted in the Circuit Court of Hillsborough County as "Allied War Veterans of Hillsborough County, Florida, Inc," on March 21, 1955. Although the name has changed,  the Mission of the Veterans' Council of Hillsborough County, Inc. has become the trusted veterans' organization to interface with governmental entities on veteran issues and activities. They are well known for their steady support of county veteran and military-related organizations to foster cooperation and support of the public for veterans and the military.

   In order to carry-out their mission, they do all of the planning, promoting and conducting patriotic programs, events and activities for the community, they nurture and maintain a close relationship with Hillsborough County government officials on veteran and military issues and activities which includes participation and support of advisory boards/committees or other programs sponsored by county leadership regarding military/veteran activities.

   Recognizing the need to help educate and expose our children to the military way of life, the members make it a personal and heart felt priority to develop and maintain a strong mentoring and education enrichment program with youth organizations, schools and colleges.

   Most of all, the Veterans' Council of Hillsborough County, Inc. brings a spirit of cooperation, service and support for our men and women veterans, military active duty, their families; local, state and national agencies, veteran's organizations, their auxiliaries and other military and veteran oriented organizations.
