Uniting local veteran organizations. Supporting veterans and military families. Partnering with County government

The Veterans’ Council of Hillsborough County serves as a trusted community voice for veterans and veteran-serving organizations. Our mission is to bring together Hillsborough County veteran organizations to plan, promote, and conduct patriotic programs, events, and activities—while also helping address veteran issues that are not being resolved through normal government channels.

------WHAT WE DO------

  • Unify and coordinate local veteran organizations so we can take effective, countywide action.

  • Serve as a liaison between Hillsborough County government and veteran organizations on actions affecting veterans’ services and benefits.

  • Identify and elevate issues impacting veterans and military families and pursue solutions with the right partners.

  • Promote patriotic and community programs that honor service and strengthen civic engagement.

  • Uphold the ideals, principles, and traditions of the United States Armed Forces.

  • Educate local youth to the military way of life and maintain a strong mentoring and education enrichment program with youth organizations, schools and colleges.

  •
